💰 Pricing & Value

How much does a Maine Coon kitten cost?

Our Maine Coon kittens range from £800 to £1500 depending on colour, lineage, and markings. This price includes microchipping, full vaccinations (first and second jabs), deworming, flea treatment, a 4–5 generation GCCF or TICA pedigree certificate, a starter pack (food, treats, litter, toys), and lifetime breeder support. A £200 refundable deposit secures your chosen kitten, with the balance due at collection or before delivery. View our available kittens →

Why are Maine Coon kittens more expensive than other breeds?

Maine Coon kittens are more expensive due to the high costs of ethical breeding. This includes genetic health testing for HCM, hip dysplasia, and SMA, quality nutrition, veterinary care, GCCF and TICA registration fees, and the time invested in socialising kittens in a family home. You are paying for health, temperament, and proper documentation – not just a kitten.

What factors affect the price of a Maine Coon kitten?

Price is influenced by colour (rare colours like silver or black smoke may cost more), lineage (champion bloodlines), sex (females are often slightly more expensive), and markings (show-quality kittens with exceptional type command higher prices). All our kittens are priced fairly based on these factors. See our current kittens and prices →

🩺 Health & Vet Checks

What health checks do your kittens receive before leaving?

Before leaving our cattery at 12 weeks old, every kitten receives: first and second vaccinations, microchipping, deworming, flea treatment, a full veterinary health check, and an EU pet passport (for European buyers). You will receive all health records and vaccination certificates. Read about our health standards →

Are your breeding cats tested for HCM, hip dysplasia, and SMA?

Yes. All our breeding cats undergo comprehensive genetic screening for HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy), hip dysplasia, and spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). Only cats with clear test results are part of our breeding programme. Test results are available for you to review during your visit to our Enfield cattery.

Do you offer a health guarantee?

Yes. All kittens come with a health guarantee covering genetic conditions for the first 12 months. The specific terms are outlined in our purchase contract, which you will receive before reserving a kitten. We also provide lifetime breeder support for any health or behavioural questions.

🚚 UK Delivery & Collection

Can I collect my kitten directly from your Enfield cattery?

Yes, absolutely. We welcome buyers to collect their kitten directly from our Enfield cattery by appointment. This gives you the opportunity to meet the parents, see our home environment, and review our Enfield Council licence (LN/202500544) and registration certificates. Collection is preferred for UK buyers within driving distance.

🏠 Visiting the Cattery

Can I visit the cattery before reserving a kitten?

Yes. We welcome visits by appointment only. Visiting allows you to meet the kittens and parents, see our clean and cat-friendly home environment, review our Enfield Council licence (LN/202500544), and ask any questions. Visits typically last 45–60 minutes. Contact us to arrange a visit →

What can I expect during a cattery visit?

During your visit, you will meet the kittens in our family home, see where they are raised, view our Enfield Council licence and GCCF/TICA registration certificates, review health testing records for the parents, and ask any questions about care, diet, or training. Kittens are confident and well-socialised.

💷 Deposits & Reservations

How does the £200 refundable deposit work?

To reserve a specific kitten, we require a £200 refundable deposit. This deposit secures your chosen kitten and is fully refundable if you change your mind before taking the kitten home. The deposit is deducted from the total price, with the balance due at collection or before delivery. Once a deposit is paid, we remove the kitten from public availability.

When do I pay the remaining balance?

The remaining balance is due at collection (if you are picking up your kitten) or before delivery (if we are shipping to you). We accept bank transfer or cash on collection. Full payment must be completed before the kitten leaves our cattery.

🐱 The Maine Coon Breed

How big do Maine Coon cats get?

Maine Coons are one of the largest domestic cat breeds. Males typically weigh 5.5–8kg (12–18 lbs) and females 4–6kg (9–13 lbs). Some males can reach up to 11kg (24 lbs). They grow slowly, taking 3–5 years to reach full size. Their average lifespan is 12–15 years with proper care.

What is the temperament of a Maine Coon?

Maine Coons are known as 'gentle giants'. They are affectionate, intelligent, and loyal without being demanding. They get along wonderfully with children, dogs, and other cats. Many Maine Coons fetch toys, walk on a leash, and greet you at the door. They have a quiet, chirping voice rather than loud meowing.

📞 After Purchase Support

What ongoing support do you provide after I take my kitten home?

Do you stay in touch with buyers after the sale?
